About us

Veganesha is a vegetarian and vegan eatery with an Indian twist focused on ingredients that are carefully chosen for their nutritional and health benefits.

The restaurant's name incorporates the word: "Ganesha," which is the elephant-headed Indian deity associated with the removal of obstacles in life. Ganesha signifies Veganesha's commitment to open the way for even more imaginative and healthy vegetarian food — as well as its pledge to help protect the elephant species.

Veganesha is part of the Amma Vegetarian Kitchen and Aditi restaurant family. Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema has rated Amma Vegetarian Kitchen as one of his seven favorite places to eat.
